Dorothy Dean Barnes

Dorothy D. Couch Barnes, age 92 of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Waters of Sweetwater Rehab and Nursing . A native of Hamilton County, and resident of Meigs County all her life, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lydia Boles Couch. She worked as a seamstress at many different industries, and was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Barnes; three sisters, Alline Ferguson and Lou Ferguson, Charlotte Couch; Five brothers, Samuel Couch, Robert Couch, Carl Ed Couch, Gordan Couch, and Marvin Couch.
Survivors include, Two brothers and sisters-in-law,  James and Nancy Couch of Decatur. and Gene and Thelma Couch of Evansville,TN.  Several nephews and nieces.
Graveside service will be 10 am Thursday, Oct 13, 2022, at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
