Dolores Walker Barnett

 Dolores Walker Barnett, age 91 of Athens, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Starr Regional Rehabilitation of Etowah. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eula Withrow Walker. She worked as an operator for South Central Bell Company, and  was a stay at home mom. She was a member at Woodward Avenue Church of God since the 1950's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ross Barnett; daughter, Cynthia Barnett Langley, and seven sisters, Helen Trotter, Maxine Holland, Diane Pierce Hewgley, Shirley Schultz, Gail Everett, Gaynelle Walker; brother, Hoyle Walker.
Survivors include  two sons and daughter-in-law. Jeff  Barnett of Athens, Joe and Anda Barnett of Dalton, Ga.; eight grandchildren,  Justin and Anita Barnett, Lindsay Barnett, Iian Barnett, Luke Langley,Torrey Barnett, Ashlyn Barnett, Brady and Hannah Barnett, Seth and Kara Barnett; and four great-grandchildren, Ty Barnett, Brooklyn Barnett, Bo Barnett, Ben Barnett. Several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 21, 2022 in the old sanctuary at Woowdard Avenue Church of God with Pastors Herschell and Laura Baker and Preston Moser officiating. The interment will follow at McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm Monday before the service at the church.
