David Lee Brock

David Lee Brock, age 80 of Athens, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at Tennessee Veterans Home in Cleveland. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late John Henry "Johnny" Brock and June Edgemon Brock Ervin. David was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam and was the owner of Brock Construction Company. He was preceded in death by his sister Linda Sue Davis.

Survivors include; three daughters, Candace Brock of Athens, Elizbeth Hoendervoogt of Coos Bay, Oregon; Tina Johnson of Detroit Lake, Minn; one son, David McAmis of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Jim Brock of San Luis Obispo, California and Kevin Brock of Riceville; two grandsons, Bentley Waylon-Lee Brock and Braydon Lee Charles. Grandchildren: Frank McAmis, Marissa McAmis, Lindsey Stewart, Jazzmine Yunker, Chayse Yunker.

Graveside service will be 2 pm Wednesday May 14, 2025 at Eastanallee Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Evans officiating. Those unable to attend may send condolenceses to www.laycockhobbs.com/obituaries/david-brock Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
