Catherine "Cathy" Sue Knox

CATHERINE "CATHY" SUE KNOX,  age 71 of Niota, Tenn. passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, in Sweetwater Hospital. She was a native of Davidson County, North Carolina , resident of McMinn County, Tenn. for 48 years, a daughter of the late Jack  and Ruby Irene Hicks Temple and was preceded in death by a Grandson,  Three Sisters and Five Brothers. She was a member of Marshall Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors: Husband of 35 years: Ray Knox of Niota, Tenn., Two Daughters and Son-in-law: :Sharon and Bobby Livengood of Lexington, North Carolina, Wendy Wicker of Athens, Tenn. Son: Bradley Wicker of Decatur, Tenn. Step-son and spouse: Larry and Karen Knox of Niota, Tenn.  Two Sisters: Genny Shaw of Lexington, North Carolina, Peggy Bates of Lexington, North Carolina,  Six Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Monday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Greg McCosh officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in Niota Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Moore officiating.  Active pallbearer Kirkland Knox, Keegan Knox, Jarred Knox, Brandon Wicker, Chris Brewer and Bobby Livengood.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 Monday in the funeral home.
