Cameron Wayne Bohannon

Cameron Bohannon, age 17 and would have been 18 on May 18, 2023 of Athens passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
A native and lifelong resident of Athens he was preceded in death by his Great Grandparents, Arnold and Lucille Bohannon, Marvin Self and grandfather, Alan Bohannon.
Cameron enjoyed making people laugh and had a smile that would light up a room, was very energetic and loved playing pranks on others.  He never met a stranger and did not discriminate against anyone, he was friends with everyone and was always there to help anyone through their difficult times.
He loved music was a 2023 Graduate of McMinn County High School and was a member of the McMinn County High School Choir 
He enjoyed skateboarding and spending time on the lake with Heath Nunley and family. 
Cameron had professed his faith at a young age he was saved and Baptized at Bethel Baptist Church in Georgia.

Mother and Step-father, Angela Bohannon and Heath Nunley of Athens;
Sister, Katlyn (Tyler Arent) Bohannon of Athens;
Step Brothers, Logan Nunley and Evan Nunley of Athens;
Grandmother, Debbie Self Bohannon of Athens;
Great-grandmother, Mary Self of Athens;
Step-Grandparents, Johnny and Felicia Nunley of Niota;
Niece, Brooklyn Cotter of Athens;
Aunt, Kim Bohannon (Steve) Hazelwood of Riceville;
Cousins, Olivia Paige (Austin) Fitch, Josh Hazelwood, Grayson Fitch and Hunter Fitch.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-9:00 PM Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.  
Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon Monday, May 22, 2023 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Mullins officiating.  Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens.  Active Pallbearers will be Johnny Nunley, Logan Nunley, Evan Nunley, Josh Hazelwood, Tyler Arent, Jeremy Lingerfelt.  Honorary Pallbearer Steve Hazelwood.
