BOBBY LYNN WALLER, age 72 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Sautrday, Feb. 19, 2022, in Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a native of Putnam County, Tenn., resident of McMinn County since 1993, a son of the late Wilbur Frank and Laveda Maxwell Waller, and preceded in death by two brothers: Wilbur Dewayne Waller and Billy H. Waller, Sister: Charlotte Hancock. He was an industrial electrician with IBEW Local 270. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a 25 year member of Cookeville Masonic Lodge Meridian Sun Number 50. He and his wife enjoyed traveling by land, sea and air. His love of travel carried him to the mission field to places like Alaska, Puerto Rico, Chile, Coast Rica and Bimini.
Survivors include: Wife of 18 years: Kathleen "Kitty" Plemons Waller of Athens, Tenn., Two sons: Mark Waller and special friend Kim of Cookeville, Tenn., Bradley Waller and Peggy Nelson of Baxter, Tenn., Five Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Very special nephew: Col. Charles Hancock (Lori) of Vecenza, Italy. Good Buddies: Kenneth Elrod, Bobby Hyde, Howard Plemons, and Jack Maxwell.
Memorial services will be Saturday March 5, 2022 in Trinity United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 P.M. until the memorial service begins at 3:00 P.M.
