Billy Ray Watson

BILLY RAY WATSON,  age 79 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens.  He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., a son of the late Robert Lee and Gladys Marie Raper Watson and preceded in death by Brothers: Jimmy Watson, Larry Watson, and Mike Watson.  He retired from Heil and was a member of First Baptist Church of Riceville. 
Survivors: Wife of 59 years: Frances Morrow Watson of Athens, Tenn., Daughter: Cherie Watson of Cleveland, Tenn., Son: Billy Ray Watson, Jr. of Athens, Tenn., Grandson: Matthew Watson, Two Sisters: Judy Galyon of Athens, Tenn., and Bobbie Lingerfelt of Athens, Tenn., several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Jordan officiating. Interment will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday in McMinn Memory Gardens.
