Anna Ruth Miller

Anna Ruth Miller, age 94 of Athens, passed away Friday, October 23, 2026 at Life Care of Athens. Anna was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens, she was retired as Ladies Department Manager of Proffitts and Belk after 45 + years of employment, and was the daughter of the late Carl S. and Minnie Stiles Allen Torbett. Anna was a long time active member of the Luncheon Pilot Club and was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. "Jimmy" Miller; son, Jeffery L Miller; great granddaughter, Calliope Caricker; brothers, James B Allen, Bobby Torbett; sisters, Marie Croft, Ruby Smith and Louise Parrott.

Anna was survived by her daughter, Lisa A. Soto; granddaughter, Bethanie Caricker; grandsons, Matthew Soto (Brandi), Michael Soto (Ashley); sister, Juanita Shell; great granddaughter, Penelope Caricker; great grandsons, Mason Soto and James Soto; special niece and nephew, Doris (Dodie) Oliver, Rodney Parrott.

There will be a graveside service Friday, October, 30, 2026 at McMinn Memory Gardens with grandson Michael Soto officiating. The pallbearers will be Matthew Sosto, Mike Shell, Rodney Parrott, Chad Oliver and Scott Oliver.
