Anita Ruth McElhaney

ANITA RUTH SLACK McELHANEY,  age 84 of Englewood, Tenn. passed away Friday, March 1, 2019.  She was a native and resident of most of her life of Englewood, Tenn., a daughter of the late Richard and Callie Wilson Slack. She was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church and was a former employee of NHC of Athens, Tenn. She  was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling and was a member of a  Bowling League.

She was preceded in death by:

• Her husband: David Kyle McElhaney,
• Four  Brothers: Carson Slack, Ray Slack, Paul Slack, Troy Slack,
• Sister: Nellie Sneed.  

Survivors include:

•  Two Sons and Daughters-in-law: Patrick and Anna  McElhaney of Englewood, Tenn., Jim and Tanya McElhaney of Madisonville, Tenn.
• Two Grandchildren: Tyler McElhaney, Trevor and Liz McElhaney
• Sister: Betty Rowland of Englewood, Tenn.
• Several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in Sunrise Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Patrick McElhaney, Jim McElhaney, Tyler McElhaney, and Trevor  McElhaney.

There will be no formal visitation.
