Andrew Cole "The Drewster/Drewski" Sampson

Andrew Cole Sampson (The Drewster/ Drewski), age 29 of Athens, passed away, Monday, June 2, 2025 at his residence. Andrew was born in Stockton, California and has resided most of his life in McMinn and Monroe County. For work, Andrew loved driving a forklift.  He loved to make people laugh and be happy. He was a bright light in a dim world. He was a good friend to many and he especially loved his family. His passion was helping others in need.  His favorite quote was "Never take advice from someone who doesn't live the life you want to live." He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe and Sandy Mason.

Survivors include his parents Casey and Audrey Stanley Mason of Athens; Ace Doty of California; sister, Alyssa Camargo (Adrian) of Etowah.; brothers, Christian Mason (Jade) of Niota, Bryce Mason of Madison, Wisconsin, DiMaggio Mason of Athens; nephews, Elijah and Ezrah Camargo; nieces, Azariah Mason, Juliana Mason;

Grandparents, Al and Mary Stanley of Tellico Plains who loved Andrew with all of their heart. Very special aunt and uncle, Michael and Denise Schulte who played a big part in caring for Andrew during a critical time of his life.  Aunts, Andria Tucker, Kiley Simmons, Canesa Stanley, Kim Tullis; Uncles Jimmy Singleton, Jeff Singleton, Eddie Singleton Jeff Sturdivant and Heath Mason ; Close bonded cousins, Ava Plasterer, Autumn Hoeppner, Alivia Schulte, Colten Schulte, Chloe Mason, Alley Chambers, Ariel Walston, Addie Walston, Justin Dent, Sean Dent, Calvin Simmons, Cara Simmons, Megan Tullis and Noah Tullis.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Monday, June 9, 2025 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Pastor Scott Cardin will be officiating. The interment will be 11 am Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at McMinn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dekota Green, Cory Ricker, Franklin Collins, Dustin Fairbanks, Brad King, Slade Morgan, Christian Mason. Pallbearer in spirit, Mitchel Gossett.
