She was born in McMinn County on May 2, 1941, and graduated in 1958 from McMinn County High School. She worked for many years at Epperson Hospital, R.C. Bottling Company, Bud´s and finally retired from Wal-Mart in 2006, when her health failed.
Her needs were simple and she worked to provide for herself and to remain independent as along as she could do so. She had serious health problems the last two years, but quietly accepted her limited mobility and pain without complaint.
She was of the Pentecostal faith and trusted the Lord, Jesus Christ, to see her through a heart attack, the removal of a cancerous kidney, several hospitalizations and her death.
She loved playing Bridge with her friends as long as she could, listening to gospel music, watching the Travel Channel, caring for her home, tending her flowers and shrubs, oil painting, spending time with her loved ones and sharing her love of Jesus.
