Mr. Ralph Hyde, age 88 of Athens, Tenn. died Saturday, May 12, 2007 in Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Tenn.

He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tennessee and a son of the late William and Julie Monroe Hyde. He was a former McMinn County Councilman, member, Deacon and Sunday School Teacher of West End Baptist Church and retired from Athens Products.

He was preceded in death by his Wife: Mary Bell Wise Hyde on April 6, 2004 and Son-in-law: Charles W. Ledford.  Survivors: Son and Daughter-in-law: Jimmy and Judy Hyde Niota, Tenn.  Two Daughters and Son-in-law: Margie Ledford Athens, Tenn.  Nora F. and Glenn Smith Athens, Tenn.  Five Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services 8:00 P. M. Monday in the Chapel with Rev. Glen Crabtree, Rev. Pete Mullins, and Rev. Jim Price officiating.

Interment will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Jerry Haney, Windell Hyde, Mike McGee, L. R. Boyd, Bruce Monroe and Bill Schultz. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Hyde, Albert Hyde, Jr., Johnny Hyde, Kenneth Whitted and Ed Brown.

The family will recieve friends from 5-8 Monday.
