DR. RONALD RICHARD MANLEY, age 75 of Athens, Tennessee died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Tenn.
He was a native of Davenport, Iowa, former resident of Columbus, Ohio and had been a resident of McMinn County, Tenn. since 1967. He was son of the late Dr. Frank Bernard Schultz and Dorothea Margaret Farr Manley and preceded in death by his Step-Father: Joseph Edward Manley.
He was owner of National Musical Instrument Services and Past President of Tennessee American Choral Directors. He was a member and Past President of the Athens Rotary Club. He was a member of Meridian Sun Lodge #50 F&AM, Alhambra Shrine, Scottish Rite, and Past President of Hiwassee Shrine Club. He was a member of the Porsche Club of America and was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his Wife: Eleanore Mae Wright Manley. Survivors: Two Sons and Daughter-in-law: Ronald Richard., Jr. and Ola Wood Manley Reading, England. Nathaniel Edward and Beverly McAfee Manley Cookeville,Tenn. Daughter: Catherine Eileen Manley Des Moine, Iowa. Sister: Marilyn Patricia Lesser of Florence, South Carolina. Five Grandchildren: Ronald Richard Manley, III, Evelyn Eleanore Manley, Erik Neal Brown, Krystal Lynn Brown, Luke Joseph Manley, Andrew E. Manley, Ryan Fagan and Jonathan Fagan.
Memorial services 12:00 Noon Thursday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. G. Hendree Harrison officiating.
The family will recieve friends at the Church from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon Thursday.
