MINNIS IRENE BROWN  MILLER, age 94 of Athens, Tenn. died Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Athens Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Cherokee County, North Carolina and a resident most of her life of McMinn County, Tenn. She was a daughter of thelate John Winfred Brown, Sr. and Lydia Allen Brown.

She was preceded in death by her Husband: Robert T. "Cuddy" Miller on Aug. 31, 1979, Daughter: Marjorie Marie Miller and Brothers: Fred Brown and John W. Brown, Jr. 

She was a former dietician for Woods Memorial Hoslpital, City Park School, and McMinn County High School. She was a member of Athens First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was a  former member of McMinn County Senior Citizens.

Survivors: Son and Daughter-in-law: Robert G. "Bob" and Lucy Miller of Athens, Tenn.  Brother: Floyd Brown of Knoxville, Tenn.  Three Grandsons: Robby and Cindy Miller, Tommy and Kerry Miller, and Randy and Jamie Miller.  Five Great  Grandchildren: Christopher, Chelsea, Skylar, Gracie, and Lillie Miller.  Several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services 11:30 A. M. Saturday in Etowah City Cemetery with Rev. Scott Duckworth and Rev. Kenny Witt officiating.

The family will recieve friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A. M. Saturday in the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Robby Miller, Randy Miller, Tommy Miller, Christopher Miller, Jim Benton, and Bobby Guthrey.
