Melyndia Ivondia Caylor, 51, of Athens, died Monday, May 25, 2009, at her residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Athens, she attended Woodward Avenue Church of God. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sterling F. and Lucy Bell Morrow.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, April and James "Jimmy" Key of Douglas, Ga., and Amber Lee and Daniel Pritchett of Etowah; her mother, Mildred Morrow Smith of Athens; her father, Robert Luther Caylor; six grandchildren, Ashland Fitch, Alyssia "Piper," Austin and Aleczander Key, Alaska Rain and Triston Pritchett; her lifetime love and the father of her children, David Lee Wilson of Athens, and formerly of Etowah; two brothers, Robert Caylor and Bryan Caylor; two sisters, Kathy Farrell of Cleveland, and Constance Thompson of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Wright officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McMahan Calvary Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Daniel Pritchett, Jimmy Key, William Davis and Michael Hurley.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
