Lillard C. Taylor, 55, of Riceville, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at his home.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Howard Luther and Nanna Lemons Taylor. A member of Marshall Hill Baptist Church and VFW Post 5146, he was a former employee of NAPA Auto Parts, the Littleton Chevrolet Parts Department and owned Taylor\'s Lawn Maintenance Company. An avid hunter and fly-fisherman, he was a member of the Chilhowee Rod & Gun Club, where he had been two-time Archery Club Champion.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Jeri Harvey Taylor of Riceville; two daughters, Jade Taylor of Riceville, and Andrea Taylor of Cleveland; his twin sister, Lelia Jenkins and her husband, Ronnie, of Decatur; one brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Marlena Taylor of Chesapeake, Va.; one sister-in-law and her husband, Linda and Richard Valentine of Stockton, Calif.; two aunts, Libby Chambers of Harrison, and Maggie Palmer of Gastonia, N.C.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Van Elkins officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McMinn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Steve Torbett, Johnny Eaton, Rudy Boyd, Mike Morrow, Richard \"Nutty\" McNutt, Ronald Harris, Barry Froehlich and Garland Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike \"Smitty\" Smith and Dean Sewell.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
