Laurie Ann Malick, 48, of Athens, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at her residence.
A native of Sarasota, Fla., and a resident of McMinn County for the past 21 years, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Claude and Betty Bell Malick. She attended Athens Lutheran Church, and was co-owner of the Sister Act Cleaning Service. She was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Malick.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Heather Malick of Etowah; one sister and brother-in-law, Leslie Lee and J.V. Myers of Niota; one nephew and spouse, Gary and Paula Myers; a great-nephew and great-niece, Brady Myers and Kelsey Myers; one granddaughter, Emily "Nana's Princess" Malick; and a special friend from A.A., Annette Seargeant.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in Etowah with the Rev. Max Redman.
