Larry Dean Duckworth, 54, of Niota, died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at his residence.
He was a native of San Diego, Calif., a former resident of Memphis, and had been a resident of Niota since 1995. He was preceded in death by his father: Fred L. Duckworth. He was an employee of Kimberly-Clark of Loudon, and a member of Wells Station Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the Harley Owners Group and a member of the Sweetwater V.F.W.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Riggs Duckworth of Niota; his mother, Marie Womsley Duckworth of Burnsville, Miss.; one sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Lawrence Robinson of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Philip Alen Duckworth of Niota, and Michael and Barbara Duckworth of Gulfport, Miss.; his beloved pets, Shasta, Dixie, Max, Chi Chi and Molly; one niece; and three nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home. The body will then be taken to Memphis Funeral Home, Polar Avenue Chapel, for services and burial in Memphis Memory Gardens on Friday.
