Kenneth Keith "Butch" Kyle, 59, of Nashville, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008.

A native and former resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Marvin Jessie and Lela Frances Stanton Kyle, and was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Dale Kyle. A recipient of the Purple Heart, he was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army, and was of the Jehovah's Witness faith.

Survivors include one son, Keith Kyle Jr. of Knoxville; one sister, Carolyn McKee Nelson of Athens; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Garry Wayne Kyle, Larry D. Kyle and Barry G. and Janet Kyle, all of Ooltewah, Teddy R. Kyle of Knoxville, and Eddie and Anita Kyle of Athens; two special aunts, Floy "Jo" McKheean and Mary Nell Stephens, both of Athens; and several nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Pamela Nelson Nunley of Athens.

Graveside services were held at McMinn Memory Gardens with Brother Jerry Stephens and the Rev. Wayne Fritts officiating.
