A native of Athens, and a former resident of Sweetwater, Maryville and McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late O.H. and Nanny Agnes Newman Yarbrough. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Francis and Steve Lunsford, Rosa Lee and Arthur Marler, Betty Jo Yarbrough and Bonnie Louise Yarbrough Lane; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Emma Sue Yarbrough and David and Edna Ree Yarbrough; one granddaughter, Melody Diane Yarbrough; one great-great-grandson, Caleb Cook; and a special friend, Louise Moore. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Foister of Rockford, and Nancy Davis of Lenoir City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Carolyn Yarbrough of Friendsville, and Gary and Pearlie Robinson of Union County; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen “Dellie” and Don Price of Athens; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Jean Yarbrough of Athens; 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Amanda, Christy, Sabrina, Matt, Renee, Jeremiah, Ashley, Christopher, Michelle and Sherrie; 13 great-grandchildren; special friends, Ruby and Raymond Moore; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
