James Lake "Jim" Kennedy, age 41, of Athens, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008.

A native and former resident of Houston, Texas, he was a member of the IBEW Union #716 of Houston, Texas and of the Episcopal Faith.

Survivors: Father: John Lake Kennedy of Athens, TN.  Mother: Beverly June Kennedy of Houston, TX.  Two Half-sisters: Cathy Eppard of Houston, TX and Sheila Wood of North Carolina.  Two Half-brothers: Paul Rodney Kennedy of Waco, TX and William "Buzz" Napp of Houston, TX.

Funeral services are at 4:00 P. M. Tuesday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. T. F. Campbell officiating.

The family will recieve friends in Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home, Athens, Tenn. from 2-4 on Tuesday.
