Mr. James Benjamin Forrest III, age 68, of Athens passed away Friday, July 6, 207.

A native & life-long resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late James Benjamin Jr. & Elizabeth Nelle Forrest and was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Forrest.

A member of Niota First Baptist Church, he was a former owner & operator of J.Ben Forrest Furniture & Pianos.  He loved living on the lake & was an avid golfer.  He was a former member of the Spring Brook Golf & Country Club and Cleveland Country Club.

Survivors: Sister & Brother-In-Law: Becky & Jack Elrod of Decatur, TN.  Brother & Sister-In-Law: John Robert "Bob" & Elaine Forrest of Knoxville, TN.  Several nieces & nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8:00P.M. Saturday in the chapel with Rev. Bob Kelley & Rev. Mike Farmer officiating.

Interment will be 9:00A.M. Sunday at Niota Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 P.M. before the service.
