Inez Cantrell Tutterow, 83, of Athens, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Cleveland Care and Rehabilitation Center.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late James and Fannie Slack Cantrell, and was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Harding Tutterow, on Sept. 11, 2007; one son, Edgar Eugene Tutterow, on Feb. 23, 2002; one sister, Hazel Beck; and three brothers, John Cantrell, Reed Cantrell and Eugene Cantrell. She was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church and was a former employee of Van Raalte Hosiery Mill, Damy Industries and Athens Products.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Kirsten Tutterow of Stockbridge, Ga.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Tutterow and Edward Tutterow, both of Stockbridge, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Kirsten Caitlin Tutterow and Jackson Eugene Tutterow; two sisters-in-law, Aretta Cantrell and Mae Rowland, both of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Vest officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Thomas and deacons of Wildwood Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
