Frances Naomi Vaughn, 27, of Athens, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at her residence.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was preceded in death by her father, Michael Ollie Vaughn, on Aug. 20, 1982; her grandparents, Robert Henry Lingerfelt, on April 30, 1980, Irene Jones Lingerfelt, on Dec. 20, 1997, Ollie and Maudie Mae "Doolie" Stanton Vaughn; and her stepfather, Kenneth R. Hensley, on Dec. 9, 2002. She was a member of West End Baptist Church and was a former employee of Hardee's.

Survivors include her mother, Imogene Lingerfelt Vaughn of Athens; one daughter, Skylar Mechelle Vaughn of Athens; one brother, Robert Calvin Vaughn of Edgefield, S.C.; and two adopted aunts, Frances Johnson of Cleveland, and Minnie Harris of Athens.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the chapel with the Rev. Garry King and the Rev. Jim Price officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in McMinn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
