::Faye Hendon Elmore::

Faye Hendon Elmore, 72, of Athens, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at her residence.

A native and resident of McMinn County, and a former resident of Cleveland, she was a daughter of the late Rev. John Benjamin and Felmar Josephine Cain Hendon. She was preceded in death by one sister, Johnnie Marie Lamb, on Dec. 14, 1997; and 2 brothers, Bobby Deen \"Bob\" Hendon, on Dec. 29, 2000, and Melvin Hendon, in 1929. She was a former employee of H R Block and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her husband, Donald N. Elmore of Athens; a special brother-in-law, Lonzo Lamb of Athens; a special niece, her husband and their daughter, Lonette Lamb Berg, Stephen L. Berg and Elizabeth Hendon Berg, all of Hoover, Ala.; two nieces and husbands, Sandi and Brian Harber of Washington State, and Tammy and Chip Hammonds of Athens; and one great niece, Emily Hammonds of Athens.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

There will be no formal visitation.

Memorial contributions in memory of Angel and Tiger, and in honor of Honeybun may be made to the McMinn County Humane Society, P.0. Box 7, Athens, TN 37371-0007.
