::Edith Marie Coleman Ditmore::

Edith \"Edie\" Marie Coleman Ditmore, 54, of Athens, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 21, 2008, at her home.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Edward Coleman and the late Mary Virginia Nunley Coleman Rolen, and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. \"Charlie\" Ditmore, on April 9, 2006. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, and was a former member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church. She attended Hiwassee College and Cleveland State Community College, studying for her nursing degree, and was a CNA and LPN, having been a former employee of Life Care Center of Athens.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Angelia Kay and Barry Sutton of Madisonville; one son, James William \"Chad\" Croft of Athens; four grandchildren, Emerald Lashae Cass, Kristen Renee Sutton, Chad Isaiah Alexander Croft and Jessica Amber Hailey Croft; her stepmother, Minalee Hampton Coleman of Athens; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Sandra Hall of Chattanooga, Sheila and Carl Carroll of Athens, Janice and Steve Allen of Chattanooga, Jannett and Michael Robinson of Athens, and Barbara and Henry Wilson of Perry, Ga.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Debbie Robison of Athens, Daniel and Karen Rolen of Decatur, and Dale and Shirley Skeen of High Point, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Leamon officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Carl Carroll, Steve Allen, Tad Hollingsworth, Daniel Rolen, Danny Robison and Garner Shelton.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
