DOYLE WAYNE CHAMBERS, age 73 of Athens, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday morning, May 26, 2007.

He was a son of the late Roy and Natalie Newman Chambers of Etowah, Tenn. and was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County,Tennessee. 

He was preceded in death by his son: Michael Wayne Chambers and  father-in-law and mother-in-law: Willis and Eliza Coleman.

He was a member of Woodward Ave. Church of God and retired from Bowater after 39 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and gardner until his health declined and took great pride in his yard and garden. He deeply loved his family and church family and will be greatly missed everday.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife and caretaker of 51 years: Helen Coleman Chambers of Athens, TN.  Daughter and Son-in-law: Tina and Dean Snyder ofAthens, TN.  Two Grandaughters and Spouses: Nikki and Chris Settles of Athens, TN.  Lori and Jay Moultrie of Charleston, TN.  Grandson and Spouse: Nathan and Amy Carroll of Athens, TN.  Daughter-in-law: Brenda Chambers of Charleston, TN.  Three Great Grandsons: Gavin Settles, Tucker Carroll of Athens, TN.  Michael Moultrie of Charleston, TN.  Three Great Grandaughters: Maddie Carroll, Lilly Claire Settles of Athens, TN.  Bren Moultrie of Charleston, TN.  Two Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Betty and Eddy Williams ofEtowah, Tenn.  Helen and Jack Rudder of Etowah, TN.Three Nieces: Jick Black, Jamie Schultz, Lisa Shaw.  Three Nephews: Allen Williams, Todd Williams, Bruce Rudder.  Two Step-Grandaughters and families: Angie and Kevin Jolley (Katie and Landry) April and Tracy Cameron (Haley and McKenna).

Funeral services 8:00 P. M. Tuesday in the Chapel with Rev. Clifford Waters and Rev. Wayne Fritts officiating.

Interment will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday in McMinn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Dean Snyder, Nathan Carroll, Chris Settles, Steven Stansberry, Freddy Coleman and Danny Coleman. Honorary pallbearers will be Gavin Settles and Tucker Carroll.

The family would like to thank the Dialysis Center of Athens, Tenn. and Cleveland, Tenn. for all their care thelast 9 1/2 years.
