David Franklin Goins, 40, of Riceville, died Saturday, October 18, 2008.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Calhoun, where he was baptized at an early age. He was employed at Pestaway of Riceville, where he had many friends.

He was native of Bradley County and resident of McMinn County most of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Arlin Franklin Goins.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Nadine Leamon Goins of Riceville; mother, Joanna Snyder McCulloch of Cleveland; Sister & husband, Donna Raye & Jeff Andrus of Riceville; sons: Matthew Kyle Redden, Alex Kuykendall, Jeremy Kuykendall, all of Cleveland.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Jodie Mosier officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ed Shelton, Charles Shelton, Jerry Shelton, Phillip Williams, Dustin Mikel, and Eddie Hamby.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8 p.m., at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home in Athens.
