Frances I. Hutsell, age 92, of Athens died Monday, June 11, 2007 at U. T. Medical Center of Knoxville.

A native and life-long resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Floyd and Lora Myrtle Cate Hutsell and was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Evelyn Hutsell and Helen Parks; and a brother, Charles Victor Hutsell.  She was an active member of Union-Chapel United Methodist Church and a charter member of the United Methodist Women of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer for a number of years.  A wonderful Baker and Caterer, she will be remembered for the Wonderful Cakes she made.  She retired from the City of Athens at the age of 65.  She was a member of the The Pilot Club of Athens for more than 50 years, serving as President for 1 year.

Survivors: A Special Sister-in-law: Mrs. Mattie Sue Hutsell of Athens, TN.  A Special Nephew, Charles Curtis Hutsell of Athens, TN.  Nieces: Vickie Moore and husband, Horace P. "Pat" Moore of Niota, TN and Kay Low of Athens, TN.  A Special Cousin, Frank Cate of Dallas, TX.  Several Great nieces and nephews and Several Great-Great- nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Union-Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Vincent officiating.

Interment will follow in Union-Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Petty Officer CE 1st Class, Marshall Lee Hashe U. S. Navy, Matt Klusman, Curtis Hutsell, Andy Hughes, Horace P. "Pat" Moore,  and Jacob Allen Moore.

The family request Memorial contributions may be made to Union Chapel Memorial Association, c/o Joyce Murphy, 2601 Denso Dr., Athens, TN 37303.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8:00 P.M.
