Mrs. Gwendolyn Faye Howell, age 70, of Evensville, TN, died Monday at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga.

A native of Rockwood, Tn and resident of Evensville most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Grace Allen McMillen and was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Howell; a brother, Calvin Roy McMillen; and two nephews, Stephen McMillenand Calvin McMillen.

She was a member of Bogles Chapel Baptist Church in Evensville. 

Survivors: Daughter & son-in-law, Beverly & Chuck Dake of Athens, TN.  Son: Theodore Howell of Evensville, TN.  Sister & brother-in-law: Joyce & Bo Woody of Dayton, TN.  Sister-in-law: Betty McMillen of Lenoir City,TN.  Nieces & spouses: Karen & Tom Law of Lenoir City, TN.  Glenda & Scott Hall of Dayton, TN.  Angie & David Powers of Spring City, TN.  Grace & Jerry Scruggs of Clinton, TN.  Stephanie & Scotty Ross of Dayton, TN.  Cindy & Jason Stinnett of Spring City, TN.  Nephews: Jeff McMillen of Spring City, TN.  Allen Ritchey of Atlanta, GA.  Anthony Ritchey of Atlanta, GA.  Several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel with Rev. Roger Rothwell officiating.  Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Smith-Wilkey Cemetery in Evensville, TN.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday before the service at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home in Athens, TN.
