Anna Jean Hutsell, 72, of Riceville, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at her residence.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she had resided in Riceville since 1968. Often called \"Jeanie-baby\" by her closest friends, she worked at Athens Products Company for 20 years until her retirement in 1990. She and her husband, Joe, were heavily involved in Western-style square dancing, in which they started their first class in 1969. Together, they were staples in the effort to involve new people, often serving in leadership roles within the Athens Goodtimers Club. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Beulah Lingerfelt Wade and was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Joe Hutsell of Riceville; one son, Andy Hutsell of Riceville; and one daughter, Stacy Hutsell of Atlanta, Ga.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Sorah officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McMinn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
