GEONA "JEAN"  BREWER COLEMAN, age 82 of Athens, Tenn. died Sunday, December 18, 2011, in Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Tenn.

She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn. , a daughter of the late Carl Leathy and Iva Coffee Coleman and preceded in death by Brothers: Paul Brewer, Edward Brewer, and Virgil Jesse Brewer, Sister: Sue Stewart, Son-in-law: Dennis Ray Halcomb, and Grandson: Dennis Lynn Halcomb.

She was retired from Athens Furniture Co. and attended The Nazarane Church of Athens, Tenn.

Survivors: Husband of 62 years: Herman A. Coleman of Athens, Tenn., Daughter: Sheila Halcomb of Athens, Tenn., Grandchildren:  Keith Coleman, and Misty and Husband: Chris Martin.  Two Great Grandchildren: Austin Coleman and Brooklyn Martin, Sisters:June Carver of Athens, Tenn., Ruth Sneed of Athens, Tenn., and  Raye Washburn of Leesburg, Fla., serveral nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday  in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Reynolds officiating.

Interment will follow at McMinn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Coleman, Ken Coleman, Mike Sneed, Scotty Grant, Jay Hacker III, and Carl Brewer.

The family will recieve friends from 6-8 Monday in the funeral home.
