Joe Forster Ingram, Jr., age 50 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
A native of Longbeach California, former resident of Vonore, Tenn. and resident of McMinn County for the last 9 yrs., he was a son of the late Joe Forster Ingram, Sr. and Nellie Hernandez King and was preceded in death by one uncle, Hink Ingram and one granddaughter, Kailey Hoagland.
He was a member of South Liberty Baptist Church and former employee of Wholesale Supply and Gilded Mirrors, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include:Wife of six yrs., Elizabeth Ingram of Athens, Tenn; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Ingram III, Russ and Brittany Ingram all of Maryville, Tenn; one daughter, Zoe Ingram of Athens, Tenn; one step-son, Brian Gibbs; two step-daughters, Reba Gibbs and Alex Sundeen all of Maryville, Tenn.Special Beloved little Ally Johnson of Athens, Tenn; Mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Doris and William Boston of Jasper, GA; Father-in-law and step-mother-in-law, Buddy and Betty Wills of Sevierville, Tenn; one sister, Ann O'Neal of Vonore, Tenn; one nephew, Timothy O'Neal of Vonore, Tenn; two granddaughters, Aliyah and Emma Ingram. Special Friends, Karen, Steve Brian and Amanda Johnson all of Athens, Tenn; and Felisha Bowers and family all of Englewood, Tenn.
Funeral Services will be 8:00 PM Sunday, November 6, 2011 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Watson officiating.
Graveside Services will be 9:30 AM Monday, November 7, 2011 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Stacy Hamby, Joe Ingram, Russ Ingram, Brian Gibbs, Brian Johnson and Steve Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday, November 6, 2011 prior to the service at the funeral home.
