Kenneth William Lyons, 47, of Athens, died Monday, June 21, 2010, at his residence.

A native of Delaware, Ohio, and a resident of McMinn County for the last 15 years, he was a son of the late Ambers William and Joanne Farris Lyons. He was of the Baptist faith, was a self-employed drywall hanger and a avid bowler with the Monday night men's bowlers league. He was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Brenda Lyons.

Survivors include one son, Joshua Lyons of Athens; one daughter, Jessica Ventors of Poplar Camp, Va.; and one brother, William Joseph "B.J." Lyons of Athens.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
