Roy Frank Shamblin, age 84. of Riceville, TN passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010.

A native and life-long resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Wiley Arnold "W.A." and Matti Evans Shamblin, and was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry Shamblin, W. A. "Doc" Shamblin, T. B. "Pete" Shamblin, Bob Shamblin, Paul Shamblin; two sisters; Myrtle Shamblin and Anna Mae Suter; and one grandaughter, Amanda Shamblin.

A member of Eastanallee Baptist Church, he was retired from Bowater Paper Corporation after 37 years of service and loved to farm. Above all he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who was greatly loved.

Survivors include, his wife of 59 years, Anna Lou Henry Shamblin of Riceville;one daughter and son-in-law,Mary Ann and Randy Price of Athens; four sons and daughters-in-law,Sherman and Judy Shamblin, Jerry Shamblin, Larry Shamblin and Gina Manney, all of Riceville and Fred and Peggy Shamblin of Athens.  Nine grandchildren and spouses, Coby and Rhonda Shamblin, Tyler Price and fiance Amanda Waters, Matti Shamblin, Marissa Shamblin and Travis Letsinger, Jared and Marquita Price, Ryan Shamblin, Taylor Shamblin, Logan Shamblin, Jordon Shamblin; four great-grandchildren, Kyndall Shamblin, Avery Shamblin, Chandler Case and Nicole Brown; one brother, Ross Shamblin of Riceville; three brothers-in-law and Spouses, Frank & Betty Henry of Alcoa, Jim and Martha Henry of Hixson and Ross and Betty Henry of Etowah; four sisters-in-law, Lorene Henry of Kingston, Jo Henry of Maryville, Dot Shamblin of Michigan and Ruth Shamblin of Boston, Mass.  Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Friday at Eastanallee Baptist Church with Rev. Tyler Price and Dr. Ralph Jenkins officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 -8:00 P.M. at the Church prior to the service.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Eastanallee Cemetery with the Rev. Oran Creasman officiating.

Pallbearers will be Coby Shamblin, Tyler Price, Ryan Shamblin, Jared Price, Taylor Shamblin, Jordon Shamblin. Honorary pallbearer will beLogan Shamblin who is currently on active duty in the U. S. Air Force.
