Zella Mae "Jo" Moore McClure, 76, of Adairsville, Ga., died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Ga.
She was born in Englewood, and was a resident of Adairsville, Ga., for most of her life. A daughter of the late George Edward and Maggie Russell Moore, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Gordon Moore, on Aug. 6, 1981; and one sister, Donzella Wallis, on Oct. 19, 2001. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Charles McClure of Adairsville, Ga.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Carol McNutt of Englewood, and Steven and Chasity McClure of Adairsville, Ga.; one daughter and son-in-law, Tamela and John Anton of Rome, Ga.; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Josh and Kristie McNutt, Jeremy McNutt, Kelsie McNutt, Alaina Ray, Olivia Anton, William Anton and Paytyn McClure; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Jim and Becky Moore of Riceville, J.B. Moore of Athens, Bud and Myrtle Moore and Ronald and Diane Moore, all of Decatur, and Lynn Moore of Athens; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie and Charles Gentry and Sally and Doyal Hill, all of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Minister Tim Gunnells officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The body will then be taken to R. Dudley Barton and Son Funeral Home, located at 115 South Main Street in Adairsville, Ga., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in NorthPointe Church in Adairsville, Ga. with the Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Burial will follow in Snow Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Leslie McClure, Michael Edwards, Greg Mitchell, Jeremy McNutt and Josh McNutt.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
