Ella Sue Malone, 86, formerly of Athens, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, after an extended illness.

A native of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Liege and Alice Bookout Moses, and was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold L. Malone. She was a member of the Methodist church and was a retired employee of AT&T.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Sonja Malone; one sister, Ruth Ray; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.
